screenshots from our Fire Vista platform - all visualizations produces as data driven layer particle systems at runtime (not an artist rendered scene)
Developed in collaboration with the Energy and Natural Resources Security Group (EES-16), Earth and Environmental Sciences Division at Los Alamos National Labs, the FireVista™ platform was designed to bring the science of wildfire research into the hands of fire scientists, managers, planners, trainers, and community leaders.
Working under a TRGR SciVista, Inc. is working to commercialize the QUIC Fire application developed by LANL that produces high-fidelity 3D fire modeling data, we create custom readers and visualizers for that data so that users can interact and collaborate together to understand how to plan prescribed fires.
FireVista™ is purely data driven, there are no artist created terrains or placed fuels. Use true voxel format or flip on visual effect layers to customize each burn for your use case and audience.
The FireVista™ platform supports QUIC Fire and Fast Fuels, with ongoing work to integrate additional fire, wind, and fuel models along with geo spatial layers, bringing wholistic approach to data driven decision making. We plan to incorporate GIS (Cesium / ARC GIS) services as well as models like Wind Ninja, Behave Plus, and more!
Contact us if you wish to become a beta tester for our application and to try out using some QUIC Fire data of a real-world location, Bandelier NM. See the video on YouTube!
