CUSTOM APPLICATIONS
Building from the core technologies of SummitVR™ - our team can build you a custom application in weeks that is collaborative, immersive, and data driven. Let's builds something amazing, together!
GET STARTED
Utilizing the core technologies of SummitVR™ we can build you an application that works in Desktop or Virtual Reality, that is also collaborative
A great example of our speed and results are the Risk Mitigation applications we developed for the Air Force 58th MXG group at Kirtland Air Force Base during our direct to Phase II Open Topic SBIR. We built applications in weeks that allowed users to collaborate and go through training for understanding risk mitigation within an airplane hangar. We can do the same for you!

Air Force 58th MXG Kirtland AFB
Above are screenshots from our risk mitigation applications developed for the air force 58th mxg group at kirtland AFB
As part of our Direct-to-Phase II SBIR initiative with the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), we collaborated with Mike Fowler and the 58th MXG to engage Air Force personnel in testing and co-developing modules designed for risk mitigation scenarios in airplane hangar operations. These modules focused on identifying safety equipment, foreign object debris (FOD), and other hazardous items critical to safe navigation within the hangar environment.

Leveraging SummitVR™ core technology, we developed the first prototype within just four weeks of project initiation. Weekly updates were implemented to refine scene elements, enhance user interactions, and introduce gamification to increase user engagement.

Within eight weeks, we delivered a fully functional module that allowed users to immerse themselves in a virtual reality airplane hangar. Participants could navigate the hangar at scale, identify airplane parts, safety equipment, and FOD, while also distinguishing items that should not be selected. The system provided scoring feedback based on correct selections, enabling both training and evaluation within a realistic virtual environment.
Virginia Commonwealth University - Calculus Modules
Above are screenshots from our work with Virginia Commonwealth university (VCU) creating vr applications for teaching calculus (left to right: Definition of Derivative, rates of change, critical points
In collaboration with Professor Nathaniel Kinsey at Virginia Commonwealth University, we conducted a research initiative focused on enhancing calculus education through virtual reality applications. As part of this project, we developed five custom modules covering key topics: Rates of Change, Definition of Derivative, Riemann Sums, Critical Points, and Related Rates. Additionally, we created an interactive tutorial to guide users on navigating and utilizing the modules effectively.

The research aimed to evaluate the efficacy of virtual reality as a tool for teaching calculus principles, leveraging interactive methodologies to foster a more dynamic and engaging learning experience. The results were overwhelmingly positive, with students strongly recommending the integration of virtual reality into their educational curriculum.

SummitVR™ was developed through a Phase I and II Department of Energy SBIR grant. It integrates a fully immersive virtual environment, enabling scientists to collaborate using digital twin CAD models and their associated data. With the ParaView plugin, data can be directly imported and visualized in real-time.

Initially designed for fusion scientists to contextualize data related to clean-energy fusion reactors, the tool has since been adapted for broader scientific disciplines and engineering applications. It provides a platform for engineers and researchers to collaboratively review and discuss designs.

Building on this foundation, SciVista has streamlined the technology, enabling rapid prototyping of new software applications that include the core features of the Sandbox environment and more. This approach has been applied to our early FireVista™ products and the development of risk mitigation tools for the Air Force's 58th MXG group.
